A message from the RNDM Provincial Superior
I am so happy that we are launching the new Website of Our Lady Queen of the Missions School in Park Circus. I congratulate and appreciate the Principal Sr. Joicy Madassery and the staff for their concerted effort and efficient posting of information about our Institution and the schools. Thanks to the Principal and technicians for the logistics support and efforts to make the website more informative and attractive.
I believe that collective commitment, hard work, shared effort and competence can bring good and lasting results to new initiatives and opportunities in the future. Hope this website makes a difference and colour the lives of the many known and unknown people who are associated with us. It is my hope that our new website creates new enthusiasm and eagerness; so that our students use this platform to showcase their creative activities. This new information domain is a also a process of educating young minds to develop social consciousness and concern for the poor, the women, the vulnerable and those in the peripheries of life. It should also provide adequate formation to inculcate human values and good character.
Globalisation is one of the epochal phenomena of our time, and one which particularly touches upon the world of culture. It characterises human experience, and facilitates communication among various areas of the world, involving all facets of life. Every one of is constantly affected by information and news that arrive, in real time, from every corner of the world. He or she encounters, in everyday life, a variety of cultures, and thus experiences an increasing sense of belonging to what can be called the “global village”.
As I conclude, I quote this message of Pope Francis, who captured the whole world with his dynamism, imaginative and magical power -
“Do not be disheartened in the face of the difficulties that the educational challenge presents! Educating is not a profession but an attitude, a way of being; in order to educate it is necessary to step out of ourselves and be among young people, to accompany them in the stages of their growth and to set ourselves beside them. Give them hope and optimism for their journey in the world. Teach them to see the beauty and goodness of creation and of man who always retains the Creator’s hallmark. But above all with your life be witnesses of what you communicate”.
Congratulations and best wishes,
SR. JAYA JOSEPH, RNDM
